July Favourites

Is it seriously August? I choose to not believe! I don't know about you but the year just seems to have flown! Holy jebus!

Anyways I'm just going to do a quick post of my ... JULY FAVOURITES! Feel so cool actually doing one of these. I'm working up the nerve to get a youtube video but I need to get the courage to do that.

Anywhoo, hit the link and see what I've been grabbing for the whole month

1. theBALM Cindy-Lou Manizer Highlighter. I never had any of theBALM products before this and picked them up on a whim and I was not disappointed. It is my perfect highlighter for the summer. It has a peachy pink hue to it but it is not unnatural. If you are into dewy skin finishes, this is your go-to highlighter and shows up so beautifully in photos. When you want a highlight that is noticeable but not full of sparkly thick glitters, this is your thing. Also, the packaging is AMAZING! Love their whole style.

2. First Aid Beauty - Cleanser, Facial Radiance Pads & Ultra Repair Face Mosturizer.
I went into Sephora looking for something that will get me a really good clean but is sensitive enough that won't destroy my skin. I have such sensitive skin that whenever I try something new, I either break out or skin is rubbed raw, not the case. After using a makeup wipe, I clean my face with the face cleanser that states to remove surface oils, make - up, dirt and grime and 100% it does it job. My faces feels so clean and I LOVE that. The Facial Radiance Pads exfoliates, tones and brightens, it is not an abrasive exfoliate so you can use it every day. I was worried because of how sensitive my skin is but I had no problem. And all my annoying pimples that are always under my skin are slowly going away. Lastly, the Ultra Repair Face Mositurizer feels so good after it and when I wake up in the morning my face is so fresh.

3. theBALM FratBoy blush. Again, another whim purchase from them and honestly more than anything I was sucked in by the packaging. It is a matte light pink. It is so soft and fine that it goes on like a dream. It doesn't go on cakey as some matte powders do. It is such a soft colour and gives you such a natural flush. Great to blush to wear to work.

4. NARS Laguna Bronzer - This is what I have been using to contour everyday. It gives me a nice natural glow without the harsh line of a contour. I'm not really into the strict contour lines that is all the hype right now so this does the trick.

5. MAC Cheeky Bronze Mineralize Skinfinish - This is an oldie but a goodie! I like using this on my days I'm not wearing anything, it can be a bit sparkly and very much if you don't use a light hand. So I would use a light brush and a light hand.

6. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray - Let me tell you, HOLY GRAIL! HELLO! I never saw the need for a setting spray before but I will never go back. I saw it in the q-lane at Sephora and picked it up. Makeup does not move for hours and I mean hours. I am on the go for work all the time and I can come home, look in the mirror and my blush is this on. If you get a chance, pick up this bad boy.

7. Anatasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Chocolate - I saw all the hype about these brow pencils all over instagram and I wasn't buying it. I picked it and thought I'd review it and I really like it. It's not harsh and colours the brows very naturally, if you line your brows properly they look so crisp and you can really shape them and make them stand out.

8. FRESH Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment - I got this as a sample from Sephora one day and I had to repurchase it! My lips have never felt so good. With always having something on my lips, a couple of products at a time that I needed a good product. My lips have felt so soft, I apply it every night and it is fantastic.

9. L'OREAL Voluminous Butterfly Mascara - I like my lashes as as thick as they can be, long as they can be and black as they can be and this mascara does the trick. The wand is plastic and longer on one wind and wings out, like a butterfly's wing. Its able to get those small inner eyelashes and really wing out the lashes on the other eye. Beautiful. Best thing yet, its not an expensive mascara, less than $10!

FLOPS !

1. BODY SHOP Camomile Cleanser - I wasn't totally into this when I looked at it and the girl at the store assured me that it would cleanse my face and get rid of all my makeup. It did nothing. It was like rubbing oil on my face over and over again and getting no results. It made me feel gross and made me break out. Waste of money, I'm glad that it wasn't expensive.

2. ESTEE LAUDER Perfectly Clean Triple Action - Now this was expensive and did nothing! I thought because I wear Estee Lauder double wear foundation and figured this would clean it off nicely after the end of the night, and nope. I used so much of the product in one go and at the end, I never felt clean. Big regret.

3. Voluminous Manga Mascara - where do I start with this hot mess? The wand is whack, it did nothing for my lashes. It flaked off my lashes and I was walking around with black flecks on my face all day. Never again.

What were your favourite products in July? Let me know!
