Easy Smokey Eyes

One thing that people always asked me to do and/or teach them is the coveted smokey eye. There seems to be a notion that this needs to be some complex thing, which many different products but that's not the case. The one thing you need to know when trying to achieve the look, you don't have to use black shadow and always use a light hand so you don't end up with racon eyes.

Here is the look and the products that I used. So if you are interested in learning how I achieved this look then just jump behind the link.

Products Used ::
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Revealed 2 palette from Coastal Scents
Stila kajal eye liner in Topaz
L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara
Anastasia ProPencil
Mac Brûlée
Anastasia Brow Wiz

STEP 1 :: use some sort of base, I used my favourite MAC Painterly paint pot and spread NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencil in milk all over my lid. My eyelids are a bit greasy which is why I used the paint pot so if yours isn't then no need to worry about it.

First row: 1st shade is your brow highlight, 4th shade is the centre lid
Bottom row: 3rd shade is brown crease, 2nd last shade is the outer and inner vs

STEP 2 :: with a flat shader brush I took a dark black with purple flecks of glitter and applied it to the inner and outer v of my eye and a little above the crease. Remember here to pack/dab onto your lib as opposite to rubbing it in to avoid fall out. Then with a small shader brush I think the metal little pink and dabbed it to the middle of the lid. Don't worry about blending here too much.

STEP 3 :: taking a wide blending brush I took a lighter brown and blended into the crease. This takes the darker colour and blending up creating your smokey affect

STEP 4:: take that same brush and lighting blend where the pink and black meet, so there are no harsh lines

STEP 5 :: do your brows and I like to use the Anastasia ProPencil to create a sharp line under the brow for a highlight and blend down. Take brûlée or any matte natural colour and apply to your brow bone.

STEP 6 :: line your water line and do your lashes. Since I wasn't going for very dramatic look I took a liner in a flesh tone, Stila's kajal eye liner in topaz.

Viola ! You are done !! Just remember you a light hand when applying the darker shades, it's easier to apply more than to apply too much and you can't go back. I decided to keep this look all about the eyes and kept everything else very nude

Other products I'm wearing in these photos are ::
Estée Lauder double wear foundation
NARS Laguna to contour because I like a natural contour
NARS radiant creamy concealer
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush in Exposed
MAC Viva Glam V on my lips
